What do we expect from our relationship with other organizations?
To share a common philosophy.
Cooperate together to eradicate situations of inequality and injustice that should never have existed.
From NyH0®, we reject the gaze ethnocentrist, the one that interprets the world from its own prism. It is not about saving or assisting anyone but generate synergies for continuous improvement.
Cultures are as diverse as our way of understanding and interpreting them must be also diverse.
NyH0®promotes community empowerment and sustainable development, putting the focus on the local population as managers of their own progress.
We rely on cooperation and continuous exchange as a basis, supporting the idea that each community, through a small initial push, can develop through its own intrinsic capabilities and the acquisition of new skills.
Based on this idea, we hope to be able to join forces with more organizations.
What does the collaboration protocol with the NyH0® Academy consist of?
In responding to specific needs, promoting real progress in situations that can be improved.
If as a student of the NyH0® Academy, after completing your courses, you want to carry out professional volunteering that responds to the needs of an organization and that provides you with tools for the future, we will assess the situation.
Taking a course with NyH0® does not directly include a stay in the field, but rather the possibility of joining a pool of professionals and, if necessary, having the opportunity to cooperate.
A series of foundations and NGOs will consider receiving volunteers under specific premises, expressing their needs and what they expect from the professional volunteer within their organization. Likewise, they will provide the information and requirements essential for the stay in the field (NGO guides, code of ethics, previous course as a prerequisite, key language, etc.).
What can professionals trained in malnutrition at Academia NyH0® contribute?
Many things! Just to mention a few of them:
- Improvement of menus in centers
- Creation of protocols to address undernutrition
- Development of strategies to prevent stunting
- Creation of homemade formulas for the treatment of uncomplicated malnutrition from available foods
- Training of community workers in the detection and treatment of child malnutrition
- Among many other activities that could arise.
Trained professionals can improve the nutritional status of the participants of an organization and the community where it is located.
